Take some time to read our delightful consumer testimonials and see why we are the best tennis academy in Saratoga – Bay Area. Don’t take our word for it.

My son Stefan, who is currently a 7th grader, has been been part of FMTA for about 2 years now, we truly appreciate the way Florin runs the academy. He and his awesome coaching team provide the training, the planning, the discipline and strategizing on how to approach tournaments, which have made a big difference in Stefan’s tennis matches and ranking! The coaches are also very flexible, and you can reach them anytime with your questions. If you have a concern, they work with your child to fix it… The discipline professionalism from these coaches makes them stand ahead of other academies.

Stefan looks forward to each clinic, he is motivated to play better and the fellow students have fun while bringing the best in one another.

We have been with FMTA for almost four years. Our sons Brandon and Ryan were hooked from their first lesson and love training at FMTA! Coach Florin is a passionate coach who is dedicated to his players. He has an ability to relate to children of all ages and get them to perform at their best. It is amazing to see how much my sons have progressed from not knowing how to hold a racquet to playing in their first national tournament. In addition, Coach Florin has been a positive influence and role model for my sons. We would highly recommend FMTA!

A couple of years ago my son Matteo joined Florin Marica Tennis Academy. It was during a hard time for our entire family, and my son was no longer interested in sports, in general, and tennis, in particular; he wanted to quit. It took a very short time after he started training at FMTA until my son regained his enthusiasm and the desire to play tennis again. It was due to the challenging classes, good coaching, and overall a very suitable environment for an 8 year old on his way to becoming an athlete. I recommend Florin Marica Tennis Academy to any young prospect willing to learn and compete in the sport of tennis.

My son Shaan started FMTA about 2 years ago when he was about 8 years old. He moved from recreational tennis to wanting to play competitively. In order to set him up for success, we decided to send him to a tennis academy. Even though Shaan started out by playing under 10 level tournaments, Florin and his coaching staff were able to see the potential in him. They sat with our family to build out a plan for Shaan and his tennis goals. Over the past two years, Shaan has improved significantly at the tournament level. FMTA’s strongest points include customized learning (Florin and his coaches know every student and interact with them on all facets of the game), strong fundamentals and a strong sense of teamwork within the academy. We have watched our son’s tennis game improve immensely and his passion for the game increase (he would go to tennis every day if he could)!

Thank you FMTA!

My son Jeremy has been a FTMA student since January 2013. He enjoys attending the clinics, especially participating in drills and competing against other students. All the coaches are encouraging and provide feedback to help Jeremy improve his game. Coach Florin provides a healthy competitive environment, and has belief that all his students can take their game to the next level. Through private lessons, Coach Jon has been instrumental in helping Jeremy improve his play in tournaments.

My daughter Jamie has been with FMTA since about two years ago for both private lessons with coach Jon and group training sessions each month. I’m glad to see her fast progress in tennis and her growing determination to be a better player each time when I pick her up from the tennis court. Coach Florin and his team are exceptional professionals and excellent educators.

Thank you, FMTA coaches, for your expertise and your dedication.

Having tried a few tennis schools and coaches in the area, my boys were very happy to have found Florin and his team to coach them. They have been with Florin for more than 2 years and according to them, Florin’s clinics are fun and he makes them want to play tennis. Florin’s instruction includes new strokes, form correction, and specific tips for each student. He also balances the tennis instruction with general body workout to improve their stamina and agility. He encourages them to play in tournaments and stress the importance of not just the physical readiness when it comes to competitions, but also the mental preparation.

FMTA is a great learning environment with friendly, helpful coaches and students motivated to learn and play tennis.

I tried many tennis camps and, although my son learned some basics, he wasn’t getting the quality of coaching because all the coaches were inconsistent in their advice and turnover among coaches was high. We were informed about FMTA and had our initial drop-in which helped convince me that this was the right academy for my son. First, Florin, the owner, took the time to watch my son, test him on a few basics, then coach him on a few improvements; second he and each coach made it a point to know each player in the academy and made every interaction meaningful with tips on technique, tips on strategy, and mentally preparing them as well; finally, and most importantly, they made it fun which meant kids were highly engaged, were more intent on learning and grasping what they were being advised.

Training at FMTA significantly improved my son’s game over the last 2 years. He improved so much both in skill and mental toughness that he was able to translate that into making it onto his high school tennis team the first time he tried out.

I would have no problem recommending FMTA. The academy feels more like a family atmosphere where the owner and coaches truly care about each child. They don’t just single out better players to get more attention then those who are new to tennis or novices. Each player is provided individual coaching and they are also mentored and encouraged to stretch themselves; you’ll see noticeable changes in skill within a short period of time. I know we did.
